Bridget Woolley: Professional Ballerina and Pilates Instructor

Bridget Woolley

As a professional ballet dancer and certified Pilates instructor, my artistic practice centers on the transformative power of breath and mindful movement. My work explores the intersection of classical ballet technique with contemporary expression, drawing from my journey through dance and my training in mind-body connection.

My choreographic process begins with breath—both literal and metaphorical. I create works that challenge traditional ballet aesthetics while honoring its foundational techniques. Through my improvisational work and my experience performing diverse repertoire from Balanchine to contemporary film work, I’ve developed a unique voice that bridges classical and contemporary dance.

My technical foundation includes extensive training at Naples Dance Conservatory and University of North Carolina School of the Arts (UNCSA), where I performed variations from Swan Lake, Coppélia, and La Bayadère. This classical grounding informs my contemporary explorations, creating work that speaks to dancers who, like me, have found their breath through movement.
